Jagung memiliki rasa lezat dan banyak dibutuhkan masyarakat. Jagung ungu merupakan pangan fungsional yang memiliki manfaat bagi tubuh manusia. Produksi jagung ungu masih tergolong rendah. Upaya pengembangan jagung ungu diperlukan untuk peningkatan ketersediaan benih bermutu, salah satunya dengan induksi mutasi iradiasi sinar gamma 60Co. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari iradiasi sinar gamma 60Co terhadap penampilan karakter mutan (M1) tanaman jagung ungu pada dosis 100 Gy. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Oktober 2021-Januari 2022 di Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan metode rancangan acak kelompok satu faktor dengan penanaman empat tanaman tiap satuan petak dan empat ulangan. Faktor penelitian meliputi galur mutan (M1) jagung ungu varietas Black aztec dosis 100 Gy radiasi sinar gamma 60Co. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis ragam yang dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ 5%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh galur mutan (M1) jagung ungu terhadap keragaman karakter kuantitatif tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun di atas tongkol, indeks anakan, rebah batang, umur keluar bunga jantan, umur keluar bunga betina, tinggi kedudukan tongkol dan bobot 1000 butir.
