Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a high-value horticultural commodity in Indonesia, though its productivity is often limited by low phosphorus (P) availability, particularly in Alfisols with high phosphate fixation. This study evaluated the effects of phosphate fertilizer (SP36), Bacillus subtilis, and mycorrhizae individually and in combination on plant growth and P uptake conducted in Tuban, East Java. The experiment used a Randomized Block Design with eight treatments and three replications. Parameters included dry weight at 8 and 10 WAP, leaf area index (LAI) at 12 WAP, and phosphorus uptake. Results showed that treatment P8 (P fertilizer + B. subtilis + mycorrhizae) yielded the best results: 11.597 g dry weight, 5.01 LAI, and 0.250 mg/plant P uptake. This effectiveness likely stems from the synergy between inorganic fertilizer and microorganisms in enhancing P availability and efficiency, offering potential to boost productivity in marginal lands.
