Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) is a strategic Indonesian commodity used as a functional food source and raw material for industries; therefore, product safety is essential, particularly regarding lead (Pb) contamination. This study aimed to analyze Pb content in porang tubers cultivated on different land types and to evaluate their safety based on SNI 7939:2020. The research was conducted at several porang cultivation sites representing different land characteristics. Tuber samples were prepared by wet digestion using HNO₃ and analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Design with land type as a single factor and replications. The results showed that Pb concentrations in porang tubers varied among land types, indicating the influence of environmental conditions on Pb accumulation. However, all Pb values were still below the maximum allowable limit set by SNI 7939:2020, indicating that porang from the study area is safe for food and industrial raw material use.
