Chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) productivity is highly influenced by weed competition, necessitating eco-friendly control. This study aimed to examine the effect of ethanolic extract of cassava (Manihot esculenta) peel, rubber variety, as a bioherbicide against chili pepper weeds. The experiment used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor was weed type (nutgrass, prickly amaranth, belulang grass), and the second was extract concentration (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%). Data were analyzed using ANOVA and LSD test. Results showed that weed variations significantly affected growth parameters, with nutgrass having the lowest average. However, extract concentrations and their interactions with weed types had no significant effect on all parameters. This insignificance is likely due to physiological response differences among weed families, overaged cassava material, uncalibrated application volume, and high rainfall. Further research requires phytochemical testing and strict calibration of spraying applications.
