This study aimed to formulate an adaptive rice farming strategy through the integration of flood vulnerability maps based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), field surveys, cropping calendars, and rice variety recommendations. The research population comprised all active rice farmers, with a sample of 61 farmers selected purposively based on flood vulnerability zoning. A descriptive–analytical approach was applied using weighted overlay spatial analysis of topography, land use, proximity to water bodies, and rainfall, validated through field observations and actual flood event data. The results indicated that 48.5% of paddy fields fall into very high flood vulnerability categories, predominantly located in lowland areas near Lake Tempe. The integration of GIS-based flood maps with cropping calendars and adaptive varieties enhances the accuracy of cultivation decision-making under flood risk conditions.
2026-08-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Andi Ashari, Darmawan, Mir Alam Beddu, Helda Ibrahimhttps://plumula.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/plumula/article/view/314Pengaruh Bacillus subtilis dan Mikoriza terhadap Pertumbuhan serta Serapan Fosfor pada Tanaman Cabai Rawit2026-06-25T08:44:29+00:00Adi Rastonoadirastono36@gmail.comLisa Dwifani Indarwatiadirastono3@gmail.comFaza Yasmin Saidahadirastono3@gmail.comVionita Tri Eridaadirastono3@gmail.comRefa Firgiyantoadirastono3@gmail.com
Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a high-value horticultural commodity in Indonesia, though its productivity is often limited by low phosphorus (P) availability, particularly in Alfisols with high phosphate fixation. This study evaluated the effects of phosphate fertilizer (SP36), Bacillus subtilis, and mycorrhizae individually and in combination on plant growth and P uptake conducted in Tuban, East Java. The experiment used a Randomized Block Design with eight treatments and three replications. Parameters included dry weight at 8 and 10 WAP, leaf area index (LAI) at 12 WAP, and phosphorus uptake. Results showed that treatment P8 (P fertilizer + B. subtilis + mycorrhizae) yielded the best results: 11.597 g dry weight, 5.01 LAI, and 0.250 mg/plant P uptake. This effectiveness likely stems from the synergy between inorganic fertilizer and microorganisms in enhancing P availability and efficiency, offering potential to boost productivity in marginal lands.
2026-08-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Adi Rastono, Lisa Dwifani Indarwati, Faza Yasmin Saidah, Vionita Tri Erida, Refa Firgiyantohttps://plumula.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/plumula/article/view/247Analisis Pengaruh Pemberian Air Cucian Beras Putih dan Beras Merah dengan Berbagai Dosis Penyiraman terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Cabai Setan (Capsicum frutescens L.)2025-07-16T01:04:31+00:00Muhammad Abdullah Muntahaabdullahmuntahams58@gmail.comMuhammad Tahrir Qulyubiabdullahmuntahams58@gmail.comShofwatun Nadaabdullahmuntahams58@gmail.com
This study aimed to analyze the effect of rice washing water types (white and red) with various irrigation dosages on the growth and yield of devil chili plants (Capsicum frutescens L.). The study employed a Split Plot Design with two factors: the type of rice washing water as the main plot, and the irrigation dosage (20, 40, and 60 ml/day) as the subplot. The analysis results showed a highly significant interaction between the two factors. The application of red rice washing water at a dosage of 60 ml/day yielded the best results for the plant height parameter, reaching an average of 9.85 cm on day 28. For the leaf number parameter, white rice washing water at a dosage of 60 ml/day showed optimal superiority with an average of 7.75 leaves. These findings indicate a growth allocation, where red rice washing water effectively stimulates stem elongation, whereas white rice washing water influences leaf formation. Therefore, both types of rice washing water can be considered effective alternative liquid organic fertilizers to support the vegetative growth of devil chili plants.
2026-08-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Abdullah Muntaha, Muhammad Tahrir Qulyubi, Shofwatun Nadahttps://plumula.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/plumula/article/view/282Perbandingan Efektivitas Formulasi Biopestisida FOBIO dengan Fungisida Kimia dalam Mengendalikan Penyakit Layu Fusarium pada Tanaman Melon2026-06-15T01:55:36+00:00Derri Ardi21025010090@student.upnjatim.ac.idSri Wiyatiningsihsri.wiyatiningsih@upnjatim.ac.idHery Nirwantoherry_n@upnjatim.ac.id
Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis is a major constraint in melon cultivation due to its rapid progression and impact on plant productivity. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of different biopesticide concentrations of FOBIO, functioning as a potential PGPR-based biological agent, compared with the chemical fungicide mancozeb in suppressing disease development and enhancing plant growth and yield. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design with four treatments: biopesticide concentration of FOBIO at 7.5 mL/L, biopesticide concentration of FOBIO at 10 mL/L, mancozeb at 2 g/L, and an untreated control. FOBIO at 10 mL/L extended the incubation period to 62.33 days after transplanting, reduced disease incidence to 15.55%, and achieved the highest control efficacy of 63.16%. This concentration also resulted in the highest vegetative growth. Overall, the biopesticide concentration of FOBIO at 10 mL/L demonstrated superior effectiveness in mitigating Fusarium wilt and improving melon yield and fruit quality..
2026-08-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Derri Ardi, Sri Wiyatiningsih, Hery Nirwantohttps://plumula.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/plumula/article/view/296Pengaruh Jenis Lahan Budidaya terhadap Kandungan Timbal (Pb) pada Umbi Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri)2026-07-29T02:19:15+00:00Fitry Martamfitrymartam@gmail.comHerman Nurzamanherman_nursaman@gmail.comZulfitriany D Mustakazulfitrianydwiyantimustaka@polipangkep.ac.idHelda Ibrahimheldaibrahim.dty@uim-makassar.ac.id
Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri) is a strategic Indonesian commodity used as a functional food source and raw material for industries; therefore, product safety is essential, particularly regarding lead (Pb) contamination. This study aimed to analyze Pb content in porang tubers cultivated on different land types and to evaluate their safety based on SNI 7939:2020. The research was conducted at several porang cultivation sites representing different land characteristics. Tuber samples were prepared by wet digestion using HNO₃ and analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Design with land type as a single factor and replications. The results showed that Pb concentrations in porang tubers varied among land types, indicating the influence of environmental conditions on Pb accumulation. However, all Pb values were still below the maximum allowable limit set by SNI 7939:2020, indicating that porang from the study area is safe for food and industrial raw material use.
2026-08-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Fitry Martam, Herman Nurzaman, Zulfitriany D Mustaka, Helda Ibrahimhttps://plumula.upnjatim.ac.id/index.php/plumula/article/view/260Respon Pertumbuhan Beberapa Gulma Tanaman Cabai Rawit terhadap Ekstrak Etanol Kulit Ubi Kayu (Manihot esculenta) Varietas Karet2026-07-29T02:43:47+00:00Muhammad Husain Irsyadillahm.husainirsyadillah22@gmail.comEsna Dilli Noviantom.husainirsyadillah22@gmail.comMuzayyanah Rahmiyahm.husainirsyadillah22@gmail.com
Chili pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) productivity is highly influenced by weed competition, necessitating eco-friendly control. This study aimed to examine the effect of ethanolic extract of cassava (Manihot esculenta) peel, rubber variety, as a bioherbicide against chili pepper weeds. The experiment used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (FRBD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor was weed type (nutgrass, prickly amaranth, belulang grass), and the second was extract concentration (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%). Data were analyzed using ANOVA and LSD test. Results showed that weed variations significantly affected growth parameters, with nutgrass having the lowest average. However, extract concentrations and their interactions with weed types had no significant effect on all parameters. This insignificance is likely due to physiological response differences among weed families, overaged cassava material, uncalibrated application volume, and high rainfall. Further research requires phytochemical testing and strict calibration of spraying applications.
2026-08-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 Muhammad Husain Irsyadillah, Esna Dilli Novianto, Muzayyanah Rahmiyah
